Whether you need a new engine or not depends on the extent of the damage. An oil pressure check will tell you a lot: If the OP is OK, that's a good sign. A compression check might also be helpful, although with a blown head gasket, it might or might not be conclusive. If both the OP and the compression check out reasonably well, a head gasket might be all you need. As for the glowing turbo ... ??? I've heard that turbos can glow when run hard, but I personally don't know what to think about that. The glowing turbo sounds somewhat unrelated to the other stuff though.
