Sounds like the T-O bearing have given up completly and that the fingers on pressure plate can't keep tension up. It is no other springs in there to retract clutch fork.
You have one spring inside car to retract clutch pedal and another one on the cable to keep the automatic tension going.
If you grab the clutch fork and fold it toward the front of the car, does it spring back backwards? That is the cable tension spring in work.
I would do only the clutch, reseal and cable at this time.
