If you're motivated and want to DIY lots of people here can give you advise on how to check your clutch cable adjustment etc. What you should really do is find a quality independent Saab shop, that you trust, and have them look over the car and give you their input. This site has a list of shops where you might look or ask around your area for a quality shop.
Mileage is not a great indicator of clutch life and it is also very hard for someone to inspect a used car and guess at how much life is left.
