I know this is beaten to death, and I don't usually correct if mis-understood as it is a trivial thing, but since both were mentioned here I just have to. Yes, camber steer and torque steer are two different things. The bizarre handling characteristics of high-powered front wheel drive cars under hard acceleration (like the 9-3) are a result of camber steer/tramlining. The combination of suspension geometry issues, each front wheel getting unequal/uneven traction on non-perfect roads, and fact that some weight transfers to the back wheels under acceleration are the source of this problem.
What is certainly not the source of the problem is torque steer. Torque steer is a tendency for a car to pull in one direction (always) due to unequal length half shafts. Since the 9-3's half-shafts are about equal in length, you'd be pretty hard pressed to experience any torque steer. We have wonderfully biased American car magazines like Car & Driver to thank for this confusion.
