I've had that particular tire on two previous cars with disappointing results. Low tread life and un-inspiring performance. Mine were OEM on my Neon and 200SX SE-R.
I've had pretty good luck with previous Pirelli offerings both on and off of the track, thus would hold in higher standing.
Goodyear NCT's, well they are indeed a different breed. We ran several pairs of NCT's received free from Goodyear on our Opel in a 24 hour race and they weren't bad at all. Took a remaining pair to the street on one of our Civics and enjoyed there too. Not a particularly good option in wet (certainly not snow) but enjoyable otherwise.
Regardless of which rubber you choose be sure to adhere to the pressure recommendations on these two or you will suffer extremely poor al weather handling and wear. Both of these tires run high a relatively high (for normal street drivig) 44PSI inflation. Many mounters will not pay attention and inflate to 32PSI which is a common (although a little too low) "safety zone" for the majority of tires out there.
I suspect the Pirelli's would be more suited to the SAAB.
My two cents....
