...but I've never heard a positive thing about the Goodyear RS A. A guy I work with was just telling me today how they almost killed him hydroplaning in his 'vette.
Pirelli tires seem to vary greatly in people's opinions....though people often agree with respect to a specific tire, opinions vary greatly from tire to tire. People here on Saabnet recommended the P400 to me for my C900, and I really like them. I detest the P6000 Sport Veloce tires on my 9-3. Point being, Pirelli opinions seem to be tire, not brand specific with respect to people's opinions. So I wouldn't discount the P7000 just because the P6000 SV sucks. (Many like the P6000, not to be confused with the P6000 SV)
I have heard good things on this board about the Bridgestone S03 Pole Position, said to wear quickly but offer good performance and safety characteristics. Some people don't trust Firestone/Bridgestone. I figure after the lawsuits they'll probably be the best tires on the road for some years to come, and cheaper too. Just my opinion though.
Given your two choices, I'd vote Pirelli. What self respecting European car wants American tires anyway? :-) j/k
Cheers,
