I'll add that knowing your driving a safe vehicle that can get you through almost anything adds to the satisfaction of ownership. The other evening, during a light snowfall, a Lexus couldn't make it up a small grade and I was able to stop behind him on the hill while he spun around for a while, then easily go around when he gave up. The point about tires is important, though. No vehicle is going to be fun, or satisfying to own with the wrong rubber. I also like the fact that Saabs are not very common and the "claasic" 9-3 hatch styling.
