The definition of torque (a force) and horsepower (force over a time period) is not the same as a torque curve plotted against rpms and horsepower curve plotted against rpms. It seems to me that each engine has its own particular curve that evolves from testing that engine. and more meaningfully, testing that engine with associated drive train. I doubt that if anyone was told a horsepower /rpm curve that he could give the torque/rpm curve without testing the engine.
Go ahead shoot it down. I can take it.
