The only source I know of for such an answer is the mysterious T7 info link that floats around this board from time to time. Never been able to confirm the source, but it looks pretty "official" for what it's worth.
Anyway, it says engine speed is limited to 6000 when the engine is cold, or 6100 once it's warmed up. However, looks like at least two folks have real world experience showing it'll go higher. I've never actually hit the limiter myself, so I dunno. Now that I've got new tires, maybe I will one day soon... <evil laugh>
