Degs,
Actually, it's not an FM modulator in the sense that I've seen them before: It's a plug that intercepts the antenna feed, replaces a specific frequency (like FM 88.7 or something) with the changer feed, and plugs into the back of the radio where the antenna would. Traditional modulators that I've seen are wireless, sending a low-power FM signal picked up by the car's antenna.
I've had experience with the wireless kind and feel that you're right about the sound quality. Has anyone tried the RF conversion system? I just figured that, since it's a direct feed, it would be greater quality than the wireless while still allowing volume and sound control on the head unit.
If I have my terms mixed up or anything, please let me know.
Cory
