Are you inviting problems? Maybe. Then again, it's a Viggen for $12k. Try to find another for anywhere near that price.
If you search the PERFORMANCE bb you'll find an "aaron" post that describes the car as having a lot of perf add-ons, including a Stage 3 ECU. If the post it true, he went all out for power. I've often wondered about the longevity of these cars when we push them so far beyond the power level that Saab deemed appropriate. OK, he blew the engine & it's been rebuilt. What about the clutch, trans, half shafts, etc. How long will they last? Most Viggen drivers likely put the pedal down frequently, otherwise why pay for a Viggen? But my hunch is "aaron" put it down--& held it down--more than average. And with the Stage 3 + other enhancements he's delivering serious twist to the drive train every time.
My inclination is go. Look at it closely. Drive it and listen/feel carefully. If it drives well and doesn't tell you it's an abused puppy, then let it follow you home. You're "only" out $12k. If anything's getting close to wearing out you should be able to discern it withing a few wks. If you're not comfortable with it, sell it. Should be easy to turn it around for 12-14k again. GOOD LUCK!
