My advice is to never use anti-seize anywhere that is in or has access to the inside of the engine or a gearbox etc.

These pastes are greases loaded with metal flakes. You don't want that!!!

Use a moly grease. The moly is safe for engines and gear boxes and has a history of use as an extreme pressure oil additve. Moly grease works well on plug threads.

Will you find the use of these anti-sieze materials recommended for plugs? Yes, but that is DEAD WRONG. People who suggest this have not thought about the contamination effects.

What about a anti-sieze that has lead in it. You don't want lead getting near the CAT or O2 sensors. Hopefully, no one makes an anti-sieze with lead in it now. 'white lead' and 'red lead' greases were made years ago, but those are illegal to use in many industrial environments and probably are never made now. Any bronze or brass in some anti-sieze compounds? If so, probably some lead contamination.

You don't want finely divided or flaked metal in your engine! Any anti-sieze that is truly non metallic would still make me wonder about what solids are in it.
