If I were you, I would get a used 9-3 off an owner looking to sell or wait for the 9-3 hatch or the 9-2. I realize you can't wait forever, but I would be in no hurry to buy the new 9-3SS until they put a competitive engine in the model. Frankly, I would buy a 9-5 AERO used before I would buy a new underpowered slow as molasses 9-3SS. Have you ever raced a new on with your 99-02 9-3. The new ones are slower off the line and never seem to catch-up. Even the vector is slower than everything else in its class.
