As a current '03 9-3SS owner and a former 900T owner (as many of us are), I have a couple of things to add. While I do love the old style for it's uniqueness and miss the hatch on my new vehicle, this new Saab is a wonderful vehicle to drive on a daily basis. I haven't been this happy to drive a car since my first experience with my 900T. I love the tightness of the steering, the response of the motor in the city and it even has just enough power for me on the expressway (I have the 175HP), the ease of use, and especially the ReAxs passive rear steering. Everything is within easy reach for the driver. It has a much better overall driving feel than my girlfriend's '03 A4 1.8QT. We have both agreed that the Saab is tighter and has more acceleration (might be the manual in my car vs. her auto). It also has a certain presence/agressive stance on the road that the 3-series and A4s lack (g-friend's roommate has an '03 325i, looks bland when standing next to the 9-3SS)
Maybe I should be lumped into the 'new owner' category, but I do have to say that I'm much happier with this vehicle than I thought I would be, but I'm very happy to say that I'm driving a Saab.
