It's been formulated specifically to DISSOLVE sludge solids, not "knock more crap out of the engine." If you read the application instructions, then you'll see where they give you a distinct WARNING to use new oil filters to trap any circulating particulates. Combined with the (recommended) frequent oil changing & multiple new filter replacements, all the garbage is safely removed during the process.
