John, If your tests that REM pointed out prove there are no leaks, I have a feeling that your peak boost pressure might actually be accurate. After helping you and a couple of others install theMBC on the auto tranny, the setting seems to be much milder than that of a manual trans. There seems to be much more of a compromise when setting the MBC in an automatic where as the setting on the 5spd seems much higher. So I have a feeling that peak boost might actually be where your gauge is saying it is. Don't forget, you're seeing some losses now with this crazy heat and humidity. It's freakin hot now so I think everyone is seeing a reduction in peak. I'd be interested to see if you peak boost could be raised in this weather by moving the tap to the TB and doing the "anticipator." I don't see a reduction in peak but it feel a little less robust in the heat.
