reading between the lines of your concerns it seems that you are unhappy with the auto tranny and the dismay at finding a low boost pressure is a manifestation of the underlying issue .the parodox of not being able to afford an ecu upgrade but are debating buying a second car with attendant costs of a vastly greater magnitude reveals significant inner conflict.
i too miss at times not being required to shift while driving but wonder if i don't actually drive faster through corners without having to worry about shifting and can concentrate on the line. you might want to run the autocross circuit with someone in a manual and then switch cars and compare times to see what you are losing by not having a manual- it might be less than what you think. as for the need for more power can you correlate your performance upgrades to date with lower autocross times?
jeff will not sleep well until he gets the +A setup on your car! why not put one on? it would be interesting to see the effect on boost pressure.
