Just called the local dealership (B&B Saab in Santa Clara, CA), and the service advisor said that there's no such known problem for that year/model.
So, if I bring it in, I won't know if it'll be covered by the warranty or not, until they finish "diagnosting" it. If they recognize it as warranty, I pay nothing. If they think it's an adjustment issue, then I get charged just for the trouble-shooting. (And, if I decide to get it fixed, they charge for the labor/parts accordingly, of course.)
This same line was fed to me before, too, and I still have hard time swallowing it. Shouldn't they have a list of certain (known) things that're under-warranty or not? Bringing my car in there is like gambling. I never know in up-front. Is this normal/reasonable practice?
