I assume an oil trap can only help. I would like to have one on my car, having that oil all through the air intake is nasty, and you can't tell when turbo oil seal is starting to go out.
You are right, the routing of the hoses seems odd.
You would think there would be ONE hose from the valve cover to an oil catch canister, and TWO hoses from there, one to the throttle body to make use of the throttle vacuum when idling or cuising, and a SECOND one to the turbo inlet...
I have tried to read up on this before , but ran out of time and patience. Perhaps I will try again, or someone else can enlighten us.
