so this is another bad advice from Saab... my maintenance service book told me to change my ATF only at 60K service. My mechanic did told me that ATF looked like crap at that point. I wanted to change it to full synth, but my shop didn't carry ATF synth (only for MTF), so I ended up using whatever they had, which is what Saab recommends. I think it's a blend.
Anyway, I was planning on switching to full synth (buy my own and bring it to the shop) at next ATF change interval, but now I don't know when that should be done. ASAP?
What do you recommend? I put on little shy of 10K on my present ATF. Also, if I have to buy my own ATF, what do you recommend and how much? Sounds like I need more than what resevoir can hold (4.5qt right?) in order to do the full flush to change 100% fluid to full synth ATF correct?
