1994 900 SE 5 spd. Coupe, Imola Red w/ black leather interior, 153k. This is my daily driver and the car still looks great and has never been wrecked. I really hate to see it go, but it is now time to replace the original clutch, cable and TO bearing and some oil seals at a cost of 1k. It still runs good and everything works including the AC. But this car is at the point where old age sets in and expensive things can start to break. The car is likely worth only 2 k with a new clutch, maybe 1.5k without.

Pluses;

In the last couple of years I have replaced the front suspension and front and rear brakes, rear shocks, thermostat, water pump, 2 of 3 motor mounts, VC gasket and dist. plug seal, all coolant hoses, turbo hoses and IC. Car has sport exhaust (5 years old) and DI installed at 105k. 2 of 4 tires have less than 5k on them. M1 0-40 every 5 k and engine is very clean inside, way better than my 00 9-3 for some reason. Everything else works well and car is still driveable as long as you dont stomp on it. Overall I feel I have had better luck than many have had with this (1994)car thanks to you all here on this board over the last 7 years.

Minuses;
Will need clutch and related hardware (1,000.00). Headliner (150.00) and drivers seat stitching (100.00)is beginning to come undone, two broken exhaust studs that cannot be extracted w/o removing head (850.00), Scan Tech strut mounts proved to be a poor choice and need to go (250.00). Original head gasket could leak at some point, A/C could fail at anytime. Ball joints, CV joints and tie rod ends all original and could go soon.

Much of this is more than I care to DIY.

Would like to get your thoughts on this? Diminishing returns at this point? Or should I cash out now and get what I can for it?
