Hello. I've got a '96 900SEt with just over 200k miles. My coolant reservoir keeps going empty when I drive the car. First time, there was coolant sprayed under the hood around the reservoir. I refilled and let the car idle for about 1/2 hour, and nothing. I replaced the reservoir cap thinking maybe the venting was bad on it.

Now, with a full reservoir, I leave home. Within 5 minutes, the low coolant light comes on. Within 20-30 minutes the tank is dry. If at any time, I stop and loosen/remove the reservoir cap, the reservoir refills itself. Other possibly related/unrelated symptoms are: slight miss at idle, some vapor coming from the A/C vents on VERY hot/humid days (but not today, at 70+ degrees outside), rough sound from up near water pump and A/C compressor, which I can't quite pinpoint. Not a tic or a knock, just a slight rough sound...

No milky oil, no white smoke from the exhaust, no visible leak, and not really much coolant smell.

Any help? Can there be a plugged breather somewhere? Could the radiator need filled? Is there even a radiator cap on this car, or do you just fill through the res? Headgasket, despite lack of symptoms?
