I have the aluminum steering rack Clamp from Taliaferro and the 6 point sub frame brace on my '03 SE Convertible. I have had no trouble with the clamp, since installed but I must admit that installing it wasn't as easy at should have been. The reasons I went with the KiC brace dispite the higher price are that replacing a lot of rubber with less rubber is only a partial cure and also, Mr. Paden's attitude when defending his products on this web site turned me off. The 6 point sub frame brace was also not an easy install. (The problem with both was holes that didn't align with the holes in the car causing cross threading.)
Both products provided an immediate and noticeable improvement in handling. Besides what is listed above, the car also has 17 inch wheels (Saab ALU36) with 215/45-17 Goodyear GS-D3 tires and Taliaferro's 22 mm rear anti-sway bar (very easy install). Right now, my seat of the pants guage says the vert handles better than my '00 9-5 Aero, which is a major improvement and a bit disappointing. Despite the difficulty with installation on my car, I highly recommend adding the sway bar, steering rack clamp and sub frame brace to a 9-3, especially a convertible.
