Former Porsche Owner now a '96 Saab 900 Conv. Owner

I am a former Porsche 996C4/996TwinTurbo/993/and 928S4 owner who has just purchased his very first Saab. I have to admit this automobile, while Eurpoean, is extremely strange to me. I have the feeling that I am going to enjoy my ownership of the Saab but I do not understand enough about it and frankly that scares me. I know my way around a Porsche whether the engine is in the front or the back and if something goes awry I am pretty confident with a wrench and usally capable of fixing problem myself. I know in my Porsche what "picks" to look for and what "ticks" are bad.
SO here I find myself in a Saab 900 Convertible and I feel like I am in really deep water with lots of sharks circling. I am hoping that members here can offer me some advice on what I should look for immediately for preventative maintenance (timing belt intervals, tune-ups, best oil, waht to listen or look for, etc). Also advice on clubs, periodicals, and Saab-centric info would be great.
Thanks in advance and I am looking forward to becoming a member here in this forum.
