First welcome, and enjoy your Saab! As others stated, this board is a great community and an excellent source of knowledge on your NG900.

The only engine that had a timing belt was the V6, and I believe 60k was the all important interval for the belt and tensioner. The turbo and NA four cylinder motors are chain driven, so no worries there.

If you have a turbo, you may want to source a spare DIC (the red thing on the top of the valve cover). These should be considered a wear item, and they all fail eventually. According to reports on this board they last ~80-120k.

Also the four cyl --
If you don't know the history change the idler pulley and the serpentine belt. The idler pulley is not exactly robust, and failure is a showstopper. Keep the old ones as spares.

Other than that, standard 'new to me' car stuff...

Oil - Quality Synthetic (Mobil1 0w-40w)/AMSOIL etc...
Oil Filter - Purolater PureOne 10241
Gearbox Oil for manual - Saab MTF0063 or Redline MTL
Coolant - Saab Coolant
Fuel Filter
Run a bottle of Techron Concentrate with gas fill up.
Spark plugs - NGK BCPR6ES or BCPR7ES - depending on driving style
Inspect/replace the four vacuum hoses on the throttle body for preventive maintenance.

Above are I suggestions sourced here, and have worked well for me YMMV.
If you've worked on the Porsches, don't worry about the Saab. It has a few quirks, but I've found it pretty easy to wrench on.

Hope this helps,
Don
