To jump the fuel pump I mean that you want to take power from a live fuse (hazard flashers are live even with the key off). You can verify that it's live with a 12v test light. Make up a small jumper wire by crimping small male spade connectors on a 6" peice of wire. You can even use a paper clip to do this. The contacts of spade fuses are accessable even with the fuse in place, you will see these on either side of the amp rating on the fuse. Now touch your jumper wire to the hazard fuse contact and touch the other end of the jumper wire to the fuel pump fuse. As long as both fuses are ok it doesn't matter which side of the fuse you use. Have your assistant at the pump access panel under the back seat. You should hear the pump run, But also remmeber to verify 12v at the pump plug and ground. If this is indead the pump you probably will have to take this to your favorite indy shop. This job typically takes 2 to 3 hours. Good luck.
