CPO is great but spendy, only goes 6yrs from in service date or 100K miles.
These are great DIY cars, lots of problems you can fend off.
This forum should aid in the ownership experience like no other brand, perhaps.
Turbos are tough on oil and beat oil is tough on an engine.
you'd like a well cared for car, fluids kept up, etc.
For NG900 98 added the hydraulic clutch which was a step up.
The auto climate has fewer problems than manual.
9-3SE gets you heated leather nice sound for pretty good value.
Have a Saab indy pop the valve cover verify no sludge, check torque on head bolts.
Prepare to get hooked on third gear.
Saab assembled it's share of lemons, as all mfgs do. All the dirty laundry is here on display, not alot of 'I've got almost 60K trouble free miles' kind of posts, although I do!
Just be prepared to put some money into a used car, along with a spare DIC, and enjoy becoming a Saab owner.
