I was not a prior customer: first time. The shop was unaware we're a 2 Saab family. We have a tight budget (as do many with older NG900s) -- the choice was made to go here thinking that expertise and the right tools would result in a quick job with savings.
The shop underwent expansion about a year ago. While there were plenty of Saabs in the lot, they didn't appear overly busy or have much backlog: an appointment was booked w/o problem 3 business days in advance. Two mechs. on duty. Dropped car off the night before, engine was clean...Respectful, courteous... etc., etc. The correct parts and a request for a short belt mod should have indicated I was a "hands on" owner, Saabnet fan.
You're saying the bill was "corrected". . . since I supplied parts, they doubled labor?
