The spec calls for ACEA A3 oil. Most US market 5W-30 is ACEA A1.
To put it as simply as possible, the difference is in viscosity in certain conditions. ACEA A3 rated oil remains thicker (higher viscosity) at certain temperature and engine load. It is not better or worse, it's just different. Some engines require ACEA A1, others require A3. SAAB requires ACEA A3.
In US, commonly available ACEA A3 rated oils are Valvoline MaxLife 10W-40 (WalMart), Valvoline MaxLife Synthetic 5W-30/10W-30 (auto part stores), Mobil 1 0W-40 (everywhere), Castrol Syntec 0W-30 (AutoZone), Castrol Syntec 5W-40 (Advance Auto Parts) and Castrol Syntec 10W-40 (everywhere). Another good choice is BMW 5W-30, if you have a BMW dealer nearby.
