Membership makes it easier to post and you get a nice shirt etc.
The type extractor I am taliking about is the kind where you drill a small hole in the center of the bolt and then the extractor pounds into the hole and turns the bolt out. If there is any of the bolt head left, you still run the risk of breaking the extractor and making things worse.
I was just remembering that I don't think I have ever been able to get all 4 upper bracket bolts without being able to undo the top alternator bolt and move top of the alternator towards the firewall.
The bottom alternator bolt goes through an aluminum bracket that is held to the engine by 3 13mm headed bolts and a guide pin. This very same piece of aluminum has the right axle running through it too.
I really think you must get the two 8mm allen bolts out one way or another. Rust penetrant can't hurt.
