Spent some $$$ at Northern today. Got a set of the pound in screw type extractors. Also got a set of these treaded extractors that kinda look like torx bits with a lot of extra fine teeth. Gonna try to pound those in the top bolt where I have an intact screw head - though it wont' be easy with the clearance. Got a long cold chisel just in case. None of it will be easy. Also got a 5deg ratchet set and a few other things I needed and will use on this job.
A few problems I see are how to get purchase on the bottom extractor even if I get it in? I got a long drill bit I plan to use to make the hole and I fig I use one of my punches to drive it in. However, these things all have these goofy box ends and don't easily adapt to a ratchet or extension. Guy at norther said just use a wrench, but i'm not sure on the clearance.
Got a new bottle of the locktite stuff and still have my PB blaster. Will I have to get the exhaust out of the way to get some PB and stuff on the BACK of those bolts to lube up the threads? I want to also hit them with a butane torch if possible.
