ECU, $800 from Abbott $450US from elsewhere.
MBC, $32US delivered.
ECU, 17 PSE or more, sane first gear with reduced boost, don't require an exhaust as the ECU will reduce boost if backpressure leads to knocking, but an Sports exhaust will improve power.
MBC, you get fuel cuts at 15 psi so you need to adjust to lower than that. The boost comes on faster than with the mod-ecu, but in cold weather it comes on much faster and you get pressure overshoots and have to drop the boost. Much of this depends how where you tap boost pressure from. If you get it from the compressor hose barb, which is the simplest and most common method, you get the least pressure overshoots, but the pressure drop across the IC increases with flow and you boost tapers off at high RPMs. You can find a sweet spot, but is frustrates some. But the responsiveness is great.
So do you want to sink that money into an 8 year old vehicle? If yes, you will be quite happy with it and can also use the MBC to reduce boost lag or go for even higher pressures.
The VRK works well with the 95SET, I have that combo. But mid year changes were made. Is the sway bar attached to the lateral control arm that carries the ball joint, or to the control arm that goes to the rear? You need to know. And is your steering rack the larger cast aluminum unit or the narrower fabricated steel unit. Not sure? Got a magnet?
What miles do you have?
Replaced any suspension components yet?
How is your steering feeling now? How does it respond to rapid lane changes on the expressway?
