I really appreciate it when a real full-time mechanic can help us on this BB with procedures or information. I have to admit that now that I am in my forties, I am not nearly as eager to tackle many of the maintenance issues as I once was. For some reason the garage floor has gotten harder over the years. :)
That said, as a manufacturing/quality engineer I have the funds to pay someone to do the job for me. I recognize that for some people on this BB the funds may be limited, or they just love working on their cars. Either way, like the others on this BB, I try to offer practical and prudent advice. But like I said above, it is nice when a professional mechanic can help guide us when we get a bit off base.
