the dealer says that the noise I was hearing from the engine was the timing belt tensioner had gone. they replaced that free of charge, since it was at 91k. good for me, but after putting it all back together, they saw that the water pump was leaking, I should have told them to do that when they had the timing belt stuff off, but I was worried about having extra costs of valve job. they said that the car was idling fine, but they couldnt test drive it b/c of water pump leak, and they wont know if there is any other engine damage until they can test drive it... does that sound right to you guys? also is $450 in the ball park for water pump replacement?
