they get into the middle lane and set the cruise control. If they did that in the right lane then they would have to pay attention and be braking at the on/off ramps for other cars.
What bothers me is that they don't see or don't care that they pace a slow car in the right lane and effectively turn a two or three lane road into a one or two lane road.
Then, of course, at the last minute they move over for their exit and get mad if you don't let them by.
Chalk it up to automatic transmissions, power everything, cruise control and a higher awareness of the features of their car phones, stereo/in-car television (seeing that more frequently now, especially on the bling-bling Escalades and Expeditions) setups than the actual driving of the machine.
