I don't know where to start.

As some of you already know, My girlfriend was fall in love with saab because of me.

First time when she saw the big poster of 9-3 convertible at my dorm room,
She said, "Ooh. that's one ugly car. why you have that poster in your room?"
I answered. "I like saab, because I'm logical & practical person. I love saab because I know what's beauty."

Shortly after, we start to falling in love. More like love at first sight.
and we moved in together next semester.

Couple months later, I got one 00 9-3 convertible in my shop.
(I'm working as used car wholesaler to make living out of it.)
It needed some work done before back into shape.
but at that point, I can really afford saab convertible as my personal car.
before that, I've had saabs. but it was a tool of making money. It was just a things to sell.

Very first meeting with that 00 9-3 convertible with my girlfriend was not smooth.
She hated it.

"I don't understand why you put so much time into this junk. I think you can afford
better vehicle like BMW."
"Noap, I like BMW too. but it's not practical and you won't like in the snow."
"Anyway, If you want to ask marry me, you need to buy a BMW!"

That was a conversation between me & her.

Another couple months later, on the road near local walmart.
She is driving my beloved 00 silver saab 9-3 convertible.
but she couldn't driving smooth since she doesn't know how to drive stick.
The reason why she decided to learn how to drive manual was my 00 saab convertible.
She really start to understand what's the beauty of the saab convertible.

Not too far from that day, I haven't seen much of that 00 silver convertible since my girlfriend
loved it!

On clutch set, One turbo charger, One Di cassette, One set of Ocygen sensor, One set of brake rotor & pad later, there was a time with bumpy road.

My girlfriend graduate my university and decided pursue graduate study in OSU.
(I'm living in mid-michigan)

First, She asked me to look for 2003 or 04 nissan altima.
I said " If you want to spend 15K on altima, why don't you buy a saab?"
She replied "I love your saab. but I really cannot afford it."
I said "If you don't want to buy convertible, you can afford good 9-3 about 00 or 01 with your budget"

So, I spend good couple weeks to find reasonablely priced 00 or 01 9-3 5 door.
And suddenly, I found another convertible that I can make some money on it.
I had to sell some of my stuff. So, I sold my previously salvage-titled 98 900SE coupe.
(I had plans to goop up this baby) and some others, and suddenly I come up with Idea.

Why I don't give a deal to my girlfriend?
So, we talked, and I decided to give her beautiful 00 9-3 convertible at lower than reasonable price. because, I know the car, and I can trust it.

and from then, that car is her vehicle which I personally gave lifetime warranty on it.
Even she becomes new owner of the vehicle, I putted lots of stuff, new wheels, tires, spoilers, sport steering wheel. MP3 player.. etc..

and then, last weekend. there was a accident which I don't think I could forget.

Personally, after she moved to Ohio, I've had lots of bad luck.
Last April, after two years of living together, my girl friend moved out to new school. we kept in touch very closely but lonelyness from empty space put me into depression.
Last May, I have kidney stone.
Last July, I found little lump in my stomach.that required Laser removal. I had to ask professor to give me incomplete grade for summer and leave for a month to my country to get laser surgery.
Last Month, after I came back from my country, it was another hell. I'm taking 16 credits hours and that 4 credits class from summer was killing me. (I'm Mechanical Engineering student. and all of that class was my major) and then, boom, my farther called me one weekend and saying my mother has colon cancer and had surgery and had to remove all of her colon and half of the small intestines. Good news was her cancer looks like didn't spread out. but we need to make some adjustments.

Actually, My farther is just a school teacher of my country. it's not a good money making job. So, I have to make some money for my living. (I'm paying three times more expensive tution since I'm foreign. however, my parents can afford this tution barely.)

I was terrified. also, I had difficulties to get along with classes.
Even some of professor asked me to change major to another since they think engineering is not for me.

Only good thing was, last sunday which was Oct 11st.2004 was our 1000th day annyversary.
Between busy schedule, my girlfriend decided to drive from ohio to michigan. and I had to do some stuff down to ann arbor area so, we decided to meet at michigan border Friday Evening and drive up together.

I Stopped at blarewood mall in Ann Arbor to purchase some stuff.
I bought small teddy bear that shows "I love <<<" (My girlfriend's name) and some engraved stuff from thing's remembered.

Shortly after.. about 7:30PM she called that she just entered fromt 68/15 to I-75
I was headed down and we met at dundee, MI.

I was so happy to see her since everything was so difficult.
Just seeing her and hug her was more than relax for me. it was peace of mind.

Shortly after we leave dundee, I was driving my 01 Viggen conv in front of her 00 conv.
we cruised down about 65 mph since little bit of traffic.(it was about 8:30)

Suddenly, my girlfriend give me a flshing of high beam.
I looked her by my rear view mirror.
then.. boom..

my girlfriend's car try to pull to the left side (we were in the left hand lane of US-23)
and she changed direction to the right and her car was flying.

Rolled over 5 times and stopped upside down.

I screamed. I watched everything with my rear view mirror.

Stopped car ASAP and running towards to her car as fast as I can.

I found her outside of her car.

First, I thought she was flew out from the vehicle.
but a moment after I step close to her,
I noticed she is just crying.

I checked her arms. and legs. all of them was there. After all,
she walked out from up-side down car by herself and
just sit at the shoulder of the road and watching her car. upside down.

First, I asked her that she is okay..
She was just cried. and cried.

Some moment after she lift her arm and pointing her car and saying.
"My car!!!1"

I said "Forget about the car, are you okay physically? how about back? arm? Leg?"
She said " I'm fine, Just I couldn't control vehicle and suddenly car rolled over,"
I tried to calm her down.I asked her to move legs and fingers. she did fine.

Poilce were there.. paramedics were there. and paramedic gave her brief check out.
They said, "Surprisingly she doesn't have serious injury other than some cut on her left fingers.

She looked fine.

Police was asking her what happened.
I told them looks like sudden explosion of the tires.
but there was no flats. all four tires were fine.

After towing car put her vehicle to what it should be and put up on the flat bed,
time was about 10:00 PM. about whole hour. US-23 was blocked since my girlfriends' accident.

We went to U of M ann arbor emergency room. and wait there 6 hours to see doctors.
and doctors came. looked her and didn't even ask for X-ray.

Everything looks normal and she should be fine, however she need to be watched carefully next couple of days.

Finally released from hospital about 5 clock in the morning.
we went to some hotel and stay there couple of hours and taking some sleep.

and then we went back to the storage places that our beloved but hated 00 9-3 conv is resting.
It was small towing/storaging company in middle of nowhere. there was no gate or security wall. car was there with nasty shape.

We cleared out our personal belongs. I checked in side of the car.
air bag was not deployed but SAHR was working. As you all see it, all of headrest are extracted fully, in order words, SAHR was working. tensioner was gone. seat belt was not locking.
And surprisingly, Even with that much impact which made A pillar like just piece of junk, 3rd Bow of convertible top was holding strongly enough to protect my girlfriend.
(both of rear glass was not broken.)

The car did it's job-protect passenger.

Luckly or since she drove saab, she walked out from nasty scene without serious injury.
We are very thinkful for saab and relieved to drive again.

However, we still don't know what caused the accident.
She mentioned that suddenly car pulls to the left. and she couldn't regain the control of the steering. and later we found some pulley inside of the vehicle which I fount out later, police found it couple of hundred yard from accident scene and some of driver got it and dropped at the police.

I called the saabusa 1800 number to ask them to look at it.
weather it's mechanical fault or not, it's worth them to look at it and find out.
but they said, they'll only consider (not doing, consider) if they get corresponding letter from insurance company or lawyer with waving responsiblity contract.
Also, Since Michigan is No-fault state (I.O.T.W, my-fault state) Insurance doesn't look into cause of accident unless there was death involved.

I'm not blame them. since we didn't buy brand new. it could be happening from their position of the view.

The insurance company totaled it. (Of course.)

Like when people die, we put some cloth over him to give him rest, We (Me & my girlfriend) decided to give our beloved 00 9-3 conv proper goodbye. In order to do that, we put its car cover even it's future is in scrap yard. (It'll not even become salvage title. It'll become scrap title which junk yard has to took some part and scrap it.)

They paid enough money to buy another saab convetible.
Without asking, we're looking for another 01~02 saab convertible again.
Only thing right now is, she doesn't want to drive any more until psycological things are gone.
I'm totally understand. We agreed to wait another month or so to buy another convertible.

It passed couple of days.
My girlfriend shows some pains in the neck and the back.
Doctor said it looks normal but I'm worried. My girlfriend's major is performing piano.
She usually practice piano more than 6 hours a day. but she couldn't do more than an hour since back pain. I'm strongly ask her to go chiropractor but she doesn't want to go.
After we flying down to OH this coming Thursady, I'll put her into chiropractor or something definitely.

I needed to drive some distance since hospital and insurance stuff.
But everytime I look at rear view mirror, the image of her car flying into sky & road is remembered.
Finally, I put my rear view mirrot head to down side like shifter.

I couldn't stop remembering.

Maybe I'm traumatized, too. My girlfriend saying everything is okay and I'm saying it too.
I'm making sure couple of times to her that that was her best and she did so good.

But I'm keep asking myself, and I'm keep blame myself.

Why I shouldn't be more pay attention to the vehicle? Why they(insurance company & saab) don't want to look at it and tell her it was not her fault?

I'm writing two different letter to saab company.
One is thank note and one is hate mail.

If you guys are in my position, which mail would you send?
