interpret the warranty.
On my extended warranty (with a hi-tech option) it says "anything not specifically listed is excluded."
However, since you agreed to the work based on the service manager's input, you probably have a legal leg to stand on.
Don't settle quickly, but you'll probably wind up eating the part and the dealer wil eat the labor. And you can both go away friends.
