The blinkers may have a red or clear glass covering, but when they light up they are yellow. That's the way it has been on Saabs in Europe since the early 90's. It's practically only american cars that have rear blinkers with red light and when importing them here you have to install yellow blinkers instead.
IMO the colour of the blinker light is important, not the colour of their covering.
