My wife had a 1989 Acura Integra, a great little hatchback car with a 16-valve engine, outstanding five speed transmission, etc., but gaping rust holes in the rocker panels and around the gas tank filler door (Honda of America offered no assistance on repair). When we bought a new car in 1996, the choice was to get rid of that car with only 55K miles or my 1983 SAAB 900S with close to 150K miles - I kept the SAAB for another decade, doubt the Acura lasted half of that. I can't believe that they haven't solved their rust problem!
