Hi,
That's a GREAT deal. I only saw 28,000 on Sedans during summer
clearance.
There is no reason to change the oil at 185 miles. You will only have
to change it at 5,000 miles. Factory fill on 2002 Saabs was either
Semi-synthetic or full synthetic. Also, new engines are built with
closer tolerances than engines of the past. Not only do you not have to
pour Bon-Ami down the carburator to stop engine from burning oil, there
IS not carburator! :-)
As for new tires, I don't think you'll be able to convince the dealer
after the fact. Stuff like that have to be written down in the purchase
agreement. Even so, it looks like you beat the crud out of the dealer.
I don't think you will have gotten new tires even if you thought to
ask for them during purchase negotiations. Mike Lynch will give you the
evil eye for the next five days. Don't mind him :-)
It looks like your car was moved. My car had 13 miles on it when I
bought it. So, it sat in the show-room for months on end. The tires
have been great, although many people on this BB hate the Michelin MXV4
tires with a passion.
Don't worry. You have no right to feel buyer's remorse after such a
steal of a deal!! :-)
Again, no oil change is necessary at this time. Change oil every 5,000
miles with fully synthetic Mobil 1 (even semi-synthetic will do at 5,000
drain interval), and you do not need new tires since the car seems to
have been moved.
thanks
Jae
