I can't wait to see it on sale in the US. However, when it comes to replacing a SAAB hatchback with this, consider the relatively small cargo volume. Owners of SAAB hatchbacks are used to huge cargo volume in addition to the practicality of 5-door body. Most hatchbacks have far less cargo volume -- usualy about 1/2 of what we are used to. Astra has respectable cargo area on par with its main European rival VW Golf. Still, it is much less (about 1/2) compared to a SAAB hatch.
