I also have zero idle issues with my ECU & the only time the autronic ECU acts worse then the factory LH is at startup because I have to give it maybe 1/10th throttle which on a stock C900 as you know you don't need to touch the pedal :) Other then that, the car runs/feels like my viggen's T7 with the driveability, on/off boost characteristics etc :) Setting idle control takes a minute or so to do, you just aces the tuning program via computer & tell it what RPM you want the idle at, very easy :)
Running AC isn't a issue here either. My AC is removed however my mechanic threw a Autronic SMC on a non turbo MR2 which had a jap spec stock turbo motor installed & out of the box it runs the AC & all that stuff.
It's true that stand alone ECU's are built more for the performance oriented enthusiasts however a well built/designed/tuned stand alone ECU will perform much better then the old LH ECU's in daily driving as well!
