T5 boost maps are in absolue pressure & the guage is driven by the ECU like T7
so say I set the boost to 1 bar boost (aprox 15lbs)
the guage on the dash will read like 1/4 red while a calibrated boost guage on the A pillar may read 18 lbs at 5000 feet but only 15 lbs at sea level
absolute boost pressure is relative to atmospheric pressure
the lower the atmosperic pressure the higher a calibrated boost guage will read when boost is controlled on absolute pressure
on a T5 car end of red is 20 PSI near sea level
this is why john williams car runs 27PSI that would be insane using that turbo at sea level :-)
