Congratulations! Great job. I had two freeway duels in my 1999 Viggen with a late model M3 and an early model M3. My Viggen at the time of these encounters was all stock (i.e. it hadn't been Abbottized yet). The late model M3 was a yellow 2-door that tried to take me on when we were traveling around 65 mph. He rapidly approached me from behind and swung out to pass me. I waited until he was about even with me when I downshifted into third and put the pedal to the floor. By the time I shifted to fourth, I had pulled away from him to about a three car length lead. By the time I shifted into fifth, I was nearly five car lengths ahead of him. And that's how it stayed for a short distance until we both had to slow down. I don't think that M driver was aware of the Viggen's midrange torque prowess. With the boyracer-looking early M3, I left him easily behind when he tried to hang with my Viggen. I hate to say, but I was actually toying with him--accelerating away from him, then slowing down to let him catch up, then stepping on it again and leaving him behind. When it comes to efficiently producing gobs of torque, Saab definitely knows how to do it.
