I need some help figuring this out. '97 9000 Aero with stage 4 ecu. When I first put the ecu in, I got boost of 28psi. Pretty quickly it adapted down to about 22psi. Gradually, it got so max boost was 19psi most of the time. Then for no explained reason, sometimes it won't boost over 13psi. Here's another weird thing, when it was boosting to 22psi it would only do it at 3000rpm and up. It would flutter around 15psi (sounds like the BPV is opening and closing) as rpm increased, then EXACTLY at 3000rpm it would suddenly go up to 22psi and hold rock steady. I'm quite sure it's not a leak, because when I put on a manual boost controller I can get 25psi again easily, no fluttering. I always use 93 octane fuel, plugs are brand new BCPR7ES gapped at just under 1.1mm. So what is likely? The BPC? The BPV? Neither of these parts are cheap, so I don't want to buy them unless I'm at least 60% sure it will help.
other mods
3" exhaust
G9 intercooler
K&N open air intake isolated in wheel well
Forge BPV
