The spool up on the Mitsus is supposed to be better than the Garretts, due to the smaller turbine, so you should get less lag. But I dunno how it'll be for more power at the mid and top end. Not many c900s with the Mitsu on, so not much experience around with them. Personally, I don't think I would have put the Mitsu on my car, but I already did the T3/60 swap when my stock turbo blew apart. Then again, I'm sure you could upgrade the Mitsu with a larger compressor wheel.
Swapping it can be a pain, even though there are only four fittings and what, four bolts holding it to the exhaust manifold? Plus the bolts holding the elbow to the rest of the exhaust. Careful removing these in the first instance because they are quite old and you don't want to crack them. Easier if you take the hood off the car, recommend doing that. Lining up the oil and coolant lines, the ones on the bottom of the turbo anyway, is a real pain. I crawled underneath the car to do that. I'm about 90% certain that the fittings will go right into the Mitsu, my mechanics swapped a Garrett into a 91 SPG once, and I don't remember them having any difficulties. And if you do, you will have two sets of fittings anyway.
