My 16v has a water-cooled mitsu turbo that you are refering to. I can't say if it is any better because it is the only turbo the car has had. It should bolt right up from my experience. IMI the mitsu gives you performance that is more useful in real world driving. I like the turbo for mountain driving and passing--not full on blasting down the road. For the type of driving that I do, I like a quick spool up. I also have a good match with my gearbox. My tranny is a close ratio five-speed that works well with the turbo. Good luck.
