Ok. I under stand.
But the CF hood is 100% cf . including the support that you thought was steel.. It is much lighter than stock and I felt it when taking fast corners.
The wing is a functional carbon fiber 3d designed to balance and keep the tail mounted down at high speed while using the least amount of air flow restriction. It is used on many track and street cars Porsche and what not. Once the wing was installed the difference was felt at 60mph later it was adjusted to act at approx 100mph. unlike the famous whale tail that does nothing but add weight to the car.
All the cars in the dare to be different were not fully finished to the T.
My car is not a show car it is more of a daily driver street fun car and has been driven on countless numbers of Saab rallies and other rallies.
I do not have an amp that was the battery cable located in the trunk.
The weaves in the hood is what you get when you use real carbon fiber. and have proto type made. Thanks to Kevin Yankton and his efforts to make this hood.
I under stand that you voted for the sonnet, but I do not understand the amount of complements that I received and the number of votes I saw being put in for my car in front of my own eyes when I do not even get 3rd place. Just from the feed back I got on that day it seemed to me that it was a sure thing to get an award and that first place was very possible?
But then I was wrong. And I did not understand it. So I posted here and I posted on Saab link. And from reading comments I just got to know more about the Saab community and how they look at things. That does not mean that I would or will be changing things to satisfy the crowed or get popular. But it tells me more about my 9 years of Saab and how much I belong or not belong in this community.
Thanks again for the feed back.
Best regards.
Shane.
