Not doubting your statements at all. For my particular SPG with the mods that I have moving the battery to the back did nothing in the handling department on the street or when I was at the local roadcoarse. Possibly the reason is I do not push my car as much as you do thus I am not on the limit where the added weight is so noticeable.
With the spoiler I remember reading somewhere in saab land that the reason for the rear spoiler was to keep dirt off of the back window. It does make sence that if you have a spoiler a few inches higher in the area that air is moving over the spoiler that downforce would be created causing the back to be planted better. My concern is that if someone adds more downforce to the back & does not address the front then the stability should be or I guess could be negatively affected due to front end lift.
that's all I am saying.... & sorry you are taking it the wrong way
With the doubting, try not to let it bug you, I know exactly how you feel! I just do not let other people's opinions bother me because well, it's just their opinion. I know lots of people in saabland who hate the looks of my SPG but personally, I do not care :)
