The Bosch part number on the uprated plastic recirculating bypass valves is 0 280 142 110. It is standard on the Viggen, and some Porsche models, and is a diaphragm type valve.
The valve you want to retrofit onto your '85 is likely an atmospheric dump valve, rather than a recirculating valve. You will know if it has no outlet onto which to clamp a hose, and the charge air simply exits the valve through ports, or holes in the housing. This type of valve does not work well on C900's because of the was the fuel injection system meters air. The amount of air going into the engine is measured by the air mass meter just after the air filter housing. Placing an atmospheric blow-off valve in the intake system will allow already-metered intake air to bleed out of the intake system, which causes the mixture to richen noticeably (since you are letting air out of the intake that the ECU thinks is going to go back into the engine) which makes the engine revs bog, or drop quite noticeably during throttle lift shifts. I don't like them, but some people do use them. Relocating to the throttle body is not absolutely necessary, but some people do it. Before you go through relocating it (welding in a fitting, or threading the intake tube for a threaded fitting) if it fits in the stock location you could rug it in place, plug the recirculating port in the plastic intake tube, and test it.
